BAZAAR HK 25th Anniversary Party

October is a very special month to me, not only it is my birth month, but also mark the Anniversary of Harper's BAZAAR Hong Kong.

In 2010, I came across a street style photo of fashion icon Mira Duma, and was immediately fascinated.

 Mira is a petite 5'0 tall lady, but she knows how to dress for her height and always look put together. 

Despite Mira's height, she still manage to become the fashion editor of Harper's BAZAAR Russia at age 25.

Mira truly inspires and motivates me.

 I do not have a tall and slender, maybe I still stand a chance being part of the fashion industry. 

Ever since, I look up to Mira Duma, and tell myself I have to become a fashion editor by age 25.

October 2013, here I am today, attending Harper's BAZAAR Hong Kong 25th Anniversary as their new web editor. 

This is a dream come true. I am proud to say that I have accomplished my goal,

and looking forward to the new challenge.

Muscle tank, Muscle tank! How should I begin?

Recently, my closet has been filled with tons of muscle tanks.

I keep telling myself not to buy any new one, turns out I start cutting my regular tee shirts into muscle tanks, so more tank tops it is.

Here I am wearing the  "TICK ME AND I'M YOURS" tee shirts from TICKaLOOK.com by teelocker.

Well-fitted tee isn't quite my style, so I cut it into a muscle tank.

I like how my mesh bra is showing and fake tattoo peeking through,
gives the outfit a more lay back weekend vibe.

Two months ago, TICKaLOOK.com team and I came up with the idea of sending a "TAL express" care package to street snap TICKaLOOKers.

Inside the care package, you can find a tee shirt from TAL by teelocker, 

lip gloss from Benefits cosmetic (for the girls) and temporary tattoos.

Hong Kong pop star/ celebrity Eason Chen is wearing the men shirt I designed.

I absolutely adore the Kate Grand Loves Hogan collection, love the little heart and the colorful wedge sneakers, and very much look forward to the fall winter 2013 collection.

The 2nd collaboration uses the spring summer 2013 collection as blue print, and cooperation the exotic animal printed fur into the classic carry-over items. 

Brilliant idea !

The slip-ons, cross-body bag, wedge sneakers and wheelie duffle are my favorites.

This is the last outfit I took for TICKaLOOK, I had so much at the shooting, hope there will be more to come.

Spring is around the corner, soon I can wear my cut-off denim, spring dresses and sandals again. 

Also, can't wait till the weather gets hotter, so I can take my surfing class and get tanned.

Yesterday morning, I had a causal yet fun photoshoot with two girls for TICKaLOOK.com. I like how they have different style than me, and have me go out of my comfort zone. Normally, I would pair a little black dress with a classic black pump to opt for a sophisticated look. Instead, they suggested me to wear these diamond heel boots from Finsk. I got these ages ago, for the sake of its funky heels, and only wore them on Halloween as an unicorn.Surprisingly, these babies give my LBD a little twist, do you like it?

And big thanks to our friend, who is a video director, for taking his time out and shoot these gorgeous photos. He works his little magic, turns a dirty alley into a runway, makes me look so tall and slender, no photoshopping needed. Amazing !

to the future

Little did I know was filmed in 1985, even before I was born. Watched the series when I was in grade school, don't remember much from the movies. Only remember the car/ time machine, it was one of my favorite rides in Universal Studio Los Angeles. Now the ride had been replaced by The Simpson (quite fun as well to be honest), maybe time for a movie marathon ? So when people see my shirt and start talking about the movies, I know how to continue the conversation.

Other than having color contrast outfits, you can always play with fabrics. I love balancing a more tailor and structured item, like this camo jacquard skirt, with a loose fit, laid back knit sweater. This outfit is perfect for the Hamilton Pre-Baselworld luncheon, it's not too dressy, but smart causal enough to attend an afternoon high fashion watch event.
